TCEQ commissioners take up hearing requests on Fermi's air permit; permit reported approved
The TCEQ commission's February 25, 2026 agenda included Fermi Equipment Holdco's application for permits 181009, PSDTX1670 and GHGPSDTX254, with requests for hearing or reconsideration. Public Citizen, an advocacy group, said the commission denied all requests for a contested case hearing, against the recommendation of the Office of Public Interest Counsel. NewsChannel 10 reported that day that TCEQ had granted final approval. As described in TCEQ's response to comments, the permit covers three GE 6B and ninety Siemens SGT-800 combustion turbines.[1][2][3][4]
