On second reading the council approved Ordinance No. 7938 and the variance for alcohol sales at 3420 SW 15th, 3-1. Mayor Ginger Nelson and Councilmembers Freda Powell and Cole Stanley voted yes, Councilmember Eddy Sauer voted no, and Councilmember Howard Smith was absent.[1]

The ordinance caption printed in these scanned minutes reads "ORDINANCE 7983"; the motion text in the same minutes and the first-reading minutes give No. 7938.
