Stolz Mechanical awarded $4.03 million Osage filter rehabilitation
On the consent agenda approved 5-0, the council awarded Bid No. 6851 to Stolz Mechanical Contractors for $4,029,950 to replace filter underdrains and media with stainless-steel underdrains. The memo said two underdrain systems had failed, reducing the plant's ability to produce water at full capacity, and that the lower-profile underdrains gave the City its best opportunity to ask TCEQ for an increase in the plant's overall flow rating. A May 2021 change order for sidewalks ($71,015) brought the contract to $4,090,665.[1][2][3]
